Maven AGI, Inc. seeks a seasoned Staff Software Engineer to join our Platform team. This senior role shapes technical direction, mentors engineers, and drives architecture for scalable AI agent systems in a fast-paced startup environment.

You will lead backend architecture in Typescript/Node and Java, with Spring Boot, and collaborate across teams. Telephony experience (SIP/Twilio) is a plus as we build enterprise-grade solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with production-grade systems.
• Based in Boston, MA or San Francisco, CA with a hybrid office requirement.
• Backend services in Typescript/Node and Java; Spring Boot desirable.
• Experience setting technical direction and influencing engineering practices.
• Telephony experience (SIP, Twilio) or ability to learn quickly in this domain.
• Strong communication and collaboration across functions; drive clarity in complex initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architecture and development of the agentic platform.
• Translate requirements into clear, maintainable technical solutions.
• Lead or support high-impact initiatives to expand platform capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and provide constructive feedback to raise code quality.
• Build well-structured, testable services that scale in production.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and drive momentum across projects.
