Job summary

Duna is seeking a senior platform/DevOps engineer to own and evolve our cloud platform on AWS and Kubernetes, with Terraform and observability at the core.

You'll shape engineer workflows, drive safer deployments, lead incidents, automate repetitive tasks, and help run AI agents with secure sandboxes and guardrails across our remote-first team. This role values curiosity, bold decision-making, and the ability to learn quickly across clouds.

Qualifications

• Senior level experience in platform, DevOps, SRE, infra or cloud engineering.
• Depth in cloud infrastructure: Kubernetes, networking and IaC in production.
• Startup/scale-up experience owning problems end-to-end.
• Decision making, clear communication, and willingness to push back.
• Curiosity across clouds and tools; interest in security or observability.
• Experience in regulated environments such as fintech/payments/identity is a plus.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

• Own and evolve our cloud platform: AWS, Kubernetes, networking, Terraform, CI/CD and observability

• Shape how our engineers build and ship, from local setups and preview environments to deploys, so the safe path is also the fast one

• Lead incidents calmly, find the root cause and make sure the fix holds

• Turn recurring manual work into automation and self-service tools that engineers actually use

• Help the team run AI agents in engineering safely, with the sandboxes and guardrails that make it possible

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Senior experience as a platform, DevOps, site reliability, infrastructure or cloud engineer. The title matters less than what you have built and run

• Depth in cloud infrastructure: Kubernetes, networking and infrastructure as code in production

• Experience improving developer experience is a strong plus, and an interest in security or observability is a welcome extra

• Time at a startup or scale-up, where you owned problems from start to finish

• Confidence to make calls, explain them clearly and push back when something looks wrong

• Curiosity across clouds and tools. We care more about how quickly you learn than which provider you know best

• Experience in regulated environments such as fintech, payments or identity is a plus

Our platform runs on AWS and Kubernetes with Terraform, Postgres and RabbitMQ, alongside a Node.js and TypeScript product stack built on event sourcing. You will not have used all of it before. We care more about the depth you bring and how you pick up the rest.
