Job summary

Filigran is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the XTM Foundation team, driving architecture evolution for data throughput and scale across the XTM Suite. You will own cross‑product infra patterns and collaborate with ~60 engineers to pilot zero‑downtime migrations.

You will design and prototype infrastructure, evaluate storage and messaging technologies, and shape platform standards while operating in a remote‑first, async culture with strong written communication in English.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience building distributed, high‑throughput systems in production.
• Proven track record designing architectures for data‑intensive platforms.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems: consistency, partitioning, replication, backpressure, fault tolerance, observability.
• Broad knowledge of backend languages and ecosystems; able to pick the right tool for the job.
• Hands‑on experience with relational, search, graph, and columnar databases and message brokers.
• Ability to write and present architecture decisions clearly for engineers and leadership.
• Comfortable working in a remote‑first, async culture across time zones; strong English communication.
• Autonomy and ownership mindset; drive problems to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture evolution to boost data throughput and scalability.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the data pipeline (ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis).
• Evaluate infrastructure and messaging technologies; prototype and validate options.
• Define cross‑product standards for inter‑service communication and observability.
• Build performance testing infrastructure and establish ongoing performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with ~60 engineers to rollout changes with minimal downtime.
• Contribute to shared libraries and platform tooling across products.
• Stay current with distributed systems trends and present proposals.
