Job summary
Leidos is seeking a Senior Platform DevOps Engineer for its Mission Driver Enablement Center infrastructure team. This hands-on role guides design and implementation of Red Hat OpenShift, Linux, and cloud infrastructure, focusing on reliability, security, and lifecycle management of the OpenShift platform.
You will lead GitOps, IaC, and automation initiatives, partner with development teams to enable secure containerized deployments, and translate requirements into scalable, maintainable
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, cloud, and DevOps.
- Proven expertise deploying and operating Red Hat OpenShift, Linux, and Kubernetes in production.
- Experience implementing GitOps, IaC, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting in Python or similar.
- Ability to communicate decisions and work across teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as hands-on principal and security-compliant platform engineering lead.
- Design, configure, and lifecycle manage OpenShift clusters, upgrades, patching.
- Lead GitOps adoption and maintain IaC templates.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Tekton.
- Collaborate with development teams for container builds and runtimes.
- Provide technical mentoring and escalation support.
