Job summary

CrowdStrike seeks an experienced Sr Platform Data Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate the core data infrastructure and platform services for our analytics ecosystem. You will ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of the data platform across cloud environments.

You will build pipelines, manage IaC with Terraform, and lead data modeling with DBT/OpenMetadata while mentoring junior engineers and delivering secure, compliant data solutions for a mission-driven, remote-friendly team.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (US citizenship or green card).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years in infrastructure and data engineering.
• Advanced Python programming (5+ years).
• Expert in Airflow deployment and administration.
• Experience with Apache Superset or comparable BI platforms.
• Cloud experience across AWS/GCP/Azure/OCI including IAM and networking.
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes/Docker.
• DBT and OpenMetadata knowledge.
• SQL and data modeling expertise.
• Data security and compliance experience.
• Experience applying AI to optimize workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and administer core platform tooling in production.
• Manage IaC for data platform components using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services.
• Enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance.
• Develop data models using DBT and manage OpenMetadata catalogs.
• Write Python for automation and data processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
