Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Sr. Engineer - Platform Data Engineer to join a leader in the Information Technology space.

This remote role focuses on building and operating the data platform foundation that enables secure, scalable analytics and automation across the organization. You will partner with engineering, security, and data stakeholders to govern platform services, strengthen governance, and improve data workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of infrastructure and data engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• CJIS clearance eligibility (US citizenship or Green Card).
• Advanced Python programming.
• Airflow deployment and administration expertise.
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI).
• IaC and container orchestration experience (Kubernetes/Docker).
• Knowledge of DBT and OpenMetadata.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and administer Airflow and Superset.
• Manage IaC for data platform components using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflows.
• Enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Develop data models with DBT and catalog assets in OpenMetadata.
• Write Python code for platform automation and data processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
