Job summary

LogicGate is seeking a Senior Software Engineer: Platform to design and scale backend services powering the Risk Cloud platform. You will tackle bottlenecks, optimize cloud data stores, and ensure high-availability multi-tenant reliability using Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, and AWS.

You will lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and advance CI/CD with modern tooling, while leveraging AI coding assistants to boost productivity and code quality across squads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing enterprise backend systems using Java, Kotlin, or comparable JVM languages with Spring Boot.
• Proven track record of designing, deploying, and maintaining high-scale distributed systems and RESTful APIs in an AWS cloud-native environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with relational or non-relational databases, caching mechanisms, and asynchronous message brokers (e.g., PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Redis, RabbitMQ).
• Deep commitment to modern testing practices across the testing pyramid, treating test automation as an essential component of shipping software.
• Demonstrated curiosity and practical experience leveraging modern AI coding tools, LLMs, or AI agents to enhance problem-solving, code quality, and engineering velocity.
• Thrives in a remote, highly collaborative engineering culture with willingness to attend occasional department onsites and company events.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-throughput backend services and core platform APIs.
• Develop distributed data stores to expand multi-tenant Risk Cloud capabilities.
• Write robust unit, integration, and service-level tests; partner with DevOps for CI/CD on AWS.
• Mentor engineers across squads and participate in design reviews.
• Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate feature delivery and refactor legacy patterns.
