Job summary

Positron AI seeks a Platform Software Architect to define the hardware/software contract for Asimov generations. You will shape silicon-to-software interfaces, lead architecture decisions, and contribute reference implementations to resolve ambiguity.

You will mentor senior engineers, collaborate with Security and Performance teams, and ensure protection, observability, and throughput are architectural priorities. Remote-first with strong compensation and equity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in low-level platform software, firmware, OS, runtimes, or related areas with architecture ownership.
• Deep understanding of computer architecture, memory systems, concurrency, device I/O, and system bring-up.
• Strong C or C++ skills and ability to choose artifacts wisely.
• Proven ability to influence multiple engineering teams without formal authority.
• Ability to turn ambiguous goals into precise interfaces, milestones, and testable behavior.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-generation platform software architecture with stable interfaces for boot, commands, memory, DMA, and host/device interaction.
• Integrate GOLD, Asimov runtime, libasimov, firmware, Linux, and simulation into a cohesive architecture.
• Lead architecture reviews, document decisions, and drive cross-team issues to closure.
