Job summary

Cardinal Health in the United States is seeking a senior software & information platforms leader to drive the design, development and ongoing enhancement of core platform solutions. You will work across IT to translate requirements into robust platform designs and reusable components.

You will mentor engineers, establish governance and best practices, and own key metrics to improve stability and performance of cloud-based platforms with Databricks and GCP tooling.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience, preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience in products like Compute Engine, IAM and APIs
• Experience maintaining Databricks platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of core software & information platforms
• Provide platform metrics & proactively identify patterns to improve platform stability
• Ability to break down complex initiatives into small actionable work items
• Troubleshoot complex platform and cloud issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive long‑term stability and performance improvements.
• Establish platform standards, best practices, and governance across cloud architectures, integrations, and application frameworks.
• Collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to translate business requirements into robust platform designs and reusable components.
• Mentor and guide engineers across teams by providing architectural insights, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership
