Cardinal Health is seeking an experienced software and information platforms leader to drive the design, development, and stewardship of core platform solutions. You will partner with multiple IT teams to translate business needs into scalable architecture and reusable components.

The role emphasizes hands-on cloud platform management, identifying stability patterns, and mentoring engineers to raise technical excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience, preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience in Compute Engine, IAM and APIs.
• Experience maintaining Databricks platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of core software & information platforms.
• Provide platform metrics and proactively identify patterns to improve platform stability.
• Break down complex initiatives into small actionable work items.
• Troubleshoot complex platform and cloud issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive long-term stability and performance improvements.
• Establish platform standards, best practices, and governance across cloud architectures, integrations, and application frameworks.
• Collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to translate business requirements into robust platform designs and reusable components.
• Mentor and guide engineers across teams by providing architectural insights, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership.
