Job summary

BI WORLDWIDE is seeking a Principal Product Architect to serve as the architectural voice for the customer-facing platform. You will set technical direction, maintain standards, and ensure scalability, security, and observability as the business grows.

This senior IC role requires deep technical depth, with influence through expertise rather than management. The position is hybrid, based at the Minneapolis Metro headquarters, and involves collaboration across product, engineering, and DevOps

Qualifications

• Design and govern cloud-native, microservices-based platforms.
• Translate business needs into architectural direction and decisions.
• Define and maintain platform-wide architectural standards (scalability, reliability, security).
• Work with product owners to design solutions to business problems.
• Partner with DevOps/infrastructure to align application and infra strategy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate long-term business needs and translate them into architectural direction.
• Lead architecture decision-making across the platform (3 architects).
• Define platform-wide standards for scalability, reliability, security, observability, maintainability.
• Mentor development leads and architects across the organization.
