Job summary

Soros Fund Management LLC is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to own the platform's technical direction, shaping scalable, secure systems and guiding engineering teams. You will bridge business requirements with concrete technical solutions across security, data, and AI-enabled workloads.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in architecture/leadership
• Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, or data mesh architectures
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS) and infrastructure-as-code
• Proven track record of architectural decisions at scale
• Security best practices including IAM, encryption, secrets management
• Excellent communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks for informed full-stack decisions
• Experience with AI/LLM in enterprise systems
• Data warehousing and pipeline design expertise
• Domain-Driven Design with bounded contexts and aggregates

Responsibilities

• Own architecture for new products and major features
• Set and evolve engineering standards and best practices
• Drive code quality, tests, design patterns, and enterprise architecture
• Define testing strategy across teams (unit/integration/chaos)
• Evaluate technologies and services for initiatives
• Review designs with engineering leads and unblock decisions
• Lead architecture reviews including security and compliance
• Guide API design, data flow across services
• Address technical debt and performance bottlenecks
• Mentor engineers in architectural thinking
• Govern AI/LLM initiatives, including model integration and risk controls
• Oversee agentic apps architecture and tooling management
• Collaborate with product to map requirements to technical roadmaps
• Stay current with emerging tech and relevance to needs
