Job summary

Auger Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineer for the Auger Platform to advance a cutting-edge data lake and AI platform.

You will own end-to-end system architecture across data pipelines, AI/ML platforms, and semantic layers, designing for scale, modularity, and durability from day one. You will lead the evolution of data integration, semantic intelligence, and MLOps-enabled production deployments, partnering with product and design to ship intelligent, adaptive user experiences at enterprise

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in systems architecture, software engineering, and platform development.
• Hands-on experience building scalable data platforms or AI-driven systems at enterprise scale.
• Deep programming expertise in Python, Java, or C++, with distributed systems in cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end systems architecture across data pipelines, AI/ML platforms, semantic layers, and interfaces.
• Build and evolve data integration layer with ingestion, normalization, and orchestration across sources.
• Architect semantic intelligence layer including knowledge graphs and graph embeddings.
• Design and operate scalable AI/ML platforms for training, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Integrate LLMs, embeddings, and multimodal models into production via MLOps tooling.
• Set architectural direction and document decisions for the team.
• Raise fault tolerance, high availability, observability, and performance at enterprise scale.
• Mentor engineers on system design, coding standards, and operational excellence.
