Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer II to help build and evolve the next generation of cloud platform capabilities supporting our Unified Cloud strategy. You will contribute to design, implementation, and automation across AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments.

This role emphasizes automation, AI-enabled engineering, and governance, with opportunities to develop breadth and depth in platform services, IaC, and secure operations within a large enterprise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud, platform, or related engineering roles.
• Foundational knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with scripting (Python/PowerShell/Bash) and Git.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise cloud platform capabilities across AWS, Azure, and private cloud.
• Create reusable IaC modules and automation patterns.
• Evaluate and adopt AI-enabled engineering practices.
• Support cloud governance, security, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and security teams.
