Job summary

Optimum Communications Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer III to join our product development team. You will help build the Omni-channel API platform and drive architecture using Go, gRPC, and Protobufs in a Fortune 500 environment.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead complex features across domains, set standards, and mentor engineers while advancing CI/CD excellence with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Spacelift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software development engineering experience.
• Expertise in Go, Python, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive API and service architecture using Go, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and Google AIP conventions.
• Lead design and delivery of complex features spanning multiple domains and integration points.
• Architect solutions balancing cloud-native capabilities across GCP, AWS, and private clouds.
• Mentor engineers and lead design reviews, RFCs, and cross-team coordination.
• Improve CI/CD, testing, and production support practices with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Spacelift.
