Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the strategic greenfield startup of a high-volume manufacturing facility. You will bridge design engineering and factory operations, own commissioning strategy, and mentor junior engineers to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across modular buildings and power distribution equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 7+ years in engineering or manufacturing, greenfield plant startups or high-volume assembly.
• Experience with 3D modeling for layout planning and fixture design.
• Experience with ERP/MRP at a strategic level.
• Knowledge of building/safety codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic plant execution and CapEx management for high-volume manufacturing.
• Own scope, schedule, and budget for major CapEx projects; manage procurement and FAT/SAT.
• Act as SME for selecting and commissioning advanced manufacturing machinery.
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives on the factory floor.
• Drive DFMA reviews with design teams to optimize cost and efficiency.
• Set and enforce manufacturing documentation standards (SOPs, Work Instructions).
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and manufacturing staff.
• Lead complex Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and coordinate with Sales, Project Management, and Supply Chain.
