Job summary

NVR is seeking a Senior Plant Production Manager to lead multi-value stream production at the Prince George VA plant. You will drive operations, safety, quality, and continuous improvement, coaching a team of managers, supervisors, and hourly staff to meet metrics and on-time shipments to Homebuilding operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership and manufacturing experience.
• Lean and continuous improvement methodologies experience.
• Strong problem-analysis, strategic planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to other NVR plants.

Responsibilities

• Manage production and schedule requirements and output for multiple value streams; align day and night shifts.
• Provide input to plant leadership for balanced schedules and material flow.
• Recommend staffing levels and resources to achieve metrics and on-time shipments.
• Oversee quality programs; participate in audits and customer liaison activities.
• Coordinate cross-training and alignment across value streams and functions.
• Lead safety initiatives, investigations, and audits with training and coaching.
• Analyze data to evaluate performance and drive improvements and decisions.
• Coordinate maintenance and capital planning to minimize downtime and support production.
• Manage multi-plant spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Resolve escalated issues and document resolutions; maintain engagement culture.
• Develop a high-performing team through selection, onboarding, coaching and development.
