Job summary

Air Liquide USA LLC in Phoenix, AZ seeks an Assistant Plant Manager to lead daily operations, oversee quality governance, and manage Central Utility Plant maintenance. You will interface with customers, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with engineering and quality teams to ensure uptime and adherence to specifications.

The role requires 11+ years in operational leadership within electronics, pharmaceutical, or nuclear sectors, plus a strong background in ISO/QMS and process controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field (Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or Operations Management).
• 11+ years of operational leadership with high-stakes customers/industries.
• 11+ years of engineering experience in chemical processing, industrial gas, semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience managing customer relationships and outage/maintenance/communication.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/QMS, FMEA, SPC, RCA, and PDCA.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer interfacing and stakeholder engagement, ensuring service delivery and alignment with expectations.
• Own quality program governance and cross-functional quality support across IQC/IPQC/OQC.
• Oversee CUP maintenance planning and communication to minimize downtime.
• Manage daily operations, resource allocation, and equipment commissioning tasks.
• Provide team leadership, performance evaluations and development coaching.
