Job summary

Wellington Executive Search is seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to oversee daily chemical plant operations, ensuring safe and efficient production while meeting quality standards. The role focuses on policy adherence, budget oversight, and continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in chemical manufacturing with 3+ years in management, strong leadership, and proficiency with ERP systems and Lean Six Sigma. Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 7–10 years in a chemical manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of chemical plant production management, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficient and safe production.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed quality standards and reduce costs in a safer environment.
• Establish, monitor and communicate production KPIs and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure products meet or exceed quality standards and customer specifications.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures and processes.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address issues and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
• Develop and manage the plant’s budget, including cost control measures.
