Air Liquide Electronics in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to lead site operations, drive quality governance, and manage CUP maintenance. You will interface with customers, coordinate quality programs, and optimize production uptime across multiple lines.

The role requires 11+ years in operational leadership within electronics/industrial gas sectors, strong quality/system knowledge, and excellent communication with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 11+ years of operational leadership with high-stakes customers and cross-team project leadership experience.
• 11+ years engineering experience in chemical processing, industrial gas, semiconductor, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience managing customer relationships and outage/maintenance communications.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO/QMS), quality engineering tools (FMEA, SPC, RCA, PDCA), and MSA concepts.
• Hands-on familiarity with Central Utility Plant (CUP) operations, gas distribution, analytical equipment, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills interfacing with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving abilities and structured Troubleshooting in dynamic workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer interfacing and ensure service delivery alignment with customer specs and deadlines.
• Own quality program governance and coordinate with quality engineers and labs for IQC/IPQC/OQC and CQC.
• Plan CUP maintenance strategies and coordinate PM activities to minimize downtime.
• Oversee daily operations, shift assignments, and resource allocation.
• Develop and mentor staff, conduct performance reviews, and identify training needs.
