The Plant Manager at AEP will direct the activities of plant personnel to safely and efficiently produce electric power while managing maintenance, engineering, construction, accounting, procurement, HR, public affairs and compliance. This role emphasizes leadership, change management, and a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include long- and short-range planning, budgeting, and ensuring adherence to laws and company policies.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, business management, or a technical field.
• Minimum of 8 years in plant operations and maintenance with supervisory experience.
• Experience implementing safety programs and regulatory compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Direct plant activities to ensure safe, reliable, economical production.
• Lead maintenance, engineering, construction, procurement and QA/QC planning.
• Develop budgets, manage costs, and monitor performance against plans.
• Establish two-way communication with employees, management and the public.
• Drive process improvement, change management and workforce development.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws and company policies.
