Job summary

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of work experience in operation and maintenance of high-pressure boilers, pumping units, and related mechanical equipment, with at least one year in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise operation and maintenance of boilers, pumps, and related equipment in City buildings/plants.
  • Assign and monitor work activities of personnel involved in operating and maintaining boilers, pumps, and HVAC equipment.
  • Inspect equipment and controls to assess condition and determine maintenance and repair needs.
  • Oversee startup/shutdown of major units to safeguard equipment and ensure safe operation.
  • Implement safety and training programs to improve maintenance skills of trades personnel.
  • Record and analyze charts/data for operation efficiency and to forecast equipment breakdowns.
