Job summary

Energy Systems Group is seeking a Plant Operator at the North Chicago Facility to join the Operations Services team. The position is onsite and focuses on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment and systems.

You will work a 12-hour rotating shift, including overnight, weekend and holidays. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 3–6 years of related experience, and a 4th Class Power Engineer NIULPE license or higher (assessed within 18 months).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–6 years of related experience in plant operations.
• 4th Class Power Engineer NIULPE License or higher required within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and perform basic repair on plant equipment and systems.
• Operate PLC equipment and support start-up activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment and contribute to problem resolution.
• Follow safety programs including lock out/tag out and SDS administration.
• Assist in establishing maintenance and work order procedures; communicate problems and actions.
