Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician to lead maintenance and repair on plant systems and equipment across our facilities.

The role focuses on pumps, valves, and related components, coordinating with engineers and production teams to ensure safe, efficient operations. The position requires extensive hands-on maintenance experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with work orders and contractors in a dynamic industrial setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of recent maintenance experience in chemical plants or heavy industry.
• Ability to read instructions, logs, and inspection reports.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant systems and equipment using work orders.
• Maintain pumps, seals, power ends, and related components.
• Troubleshoot relief valve settings and safety devices.
• Coordinate with Engineers, Production Leaders, and Operators to prioritize work.
• Lead and supervise maintenance contractor activities.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts, and materials.
