Job summary

AdvanSix in Mobile, AL is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician to lead maintenance and repair on plant systems and equipment, including pumps, valves, and piping, coordinating with engineers and operators to keep operations safe and reliable.

This role uses the work order system to track activities, materials, and contractor work; requires 7+ years of experience and a high school diploma; physical demands are heavy with PPE required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 7+ years of maintenance experience or completion of an apprenticeship.
• Ability to follow written instructions and inspection reports.
• Basic math skills and ability to use a hand calculator.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use the Work Order system.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on plant systems and equipment using work orders.
• Maintain pumps: seals, power ends, diaphragms, oil changes, alignments.
• Inspect and adjust relief valve settings.
• Coordinate with Engineers, Production Leaders, Operators and contractors.
• Oversee maintenance contractor personnel and track purchases and materials.
• Fabricate parts and perform welding as needed.
