Vulcan Materials Company seeks a Senior Plant Technician to troubleshoot, tear down, and rebuild equipment on site. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, welding and cutting skills, and the ability to maintain site reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, component replacement, repairs, part sourcing, and strict adherence to MSHA/OSHA regulations. Five+ years in operations, preferably in aggregates, is preferred.

Competenze

• Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship preferred.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in operations, preferably within the aggregate industry.

Mansioni

• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, lubricate moving parts, and complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to prevent component failures.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components, including conveyor belts, idlers, pulleys, and water pumps.
• Perform structural repairs, hard facing, and replace heavy wear-parts (such as crusher liners and shaker screens) using welding, cutting, and grinding equipment.
• Rebuild and fabricate parts.
• Order parts from approved vendors and drive Company pick-up/repair truck to pick up parts.
• Strictly adhere to MSHA and OSHA regulations, execute LOTO protocols, and maintain a hazard-free work area.
• Observe aggregate crushing, washing, and screening areas during operation to identify anomalies and perform minor adjustments.
• Record and maintain service logs, lubrication reports, and maintenance records for plant equipment.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
