Job summary

Bigelow Tea Co. in Fairfield, CT, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead all areas of machine and facility maintenance, oversee the Maintenance Department staff, and manage budgets to support production schedules.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years of equipment maintenance experience in manufacturing, plus proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Salary ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 annually with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or higher in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of equipment maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience supervising maintenance staff and coordinating with production.

Responsibilities

• Develop planned maintenance programs to ensure equipment meets QA standards.
• Collaborate with machine manufacturers and vendors to support continuous improvement.
• Manage department labor and equipment budget.
• Oversee capital project management for the department.
• Oversee spare parts inventory and ensure availability for production.
• Ensure maintenance provides necessary machinery to meet production schedules.
• Monitor and enforce safety and health policies.
• Train maintenance teams on plant equipment for service and production needs.
• Establish machine standards and shop floor control goals.
• Plan and budget for rebuilds and progressive maintenance.
