The Kroger Co. is seeking an experienced engineering leader to direct and coordinate plant engineering/maintenance at our distribution centers. You will develop a 3-year capital plan, write contracts, manage projects and ensure startup and training procedures are in place.

You will also lead energy management efforts, oversee budgets, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and GMP standards. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-10 years of related experience in the food industry dealing with: project management, preventative maintenance administration, guiding a maintenance workforce, establishing and operating to a budget, utility utilization, EPA and OSHA requirements, knowledge of GMPs, writing and justification of projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs with advanced skills in Excel.

Responsabilités

• Provide engineering counsel and leadership at the DC level.
• Evaluate and develop engineering projects for the facility.
• Recommend equipment/processing system modifications and/or replacement to improve facility performance.
• Keep current on technology as it pertains to the facility's operation.
• Prepare and submit engineering reports as necessary.
• Establish and administer an effective predictive/preventative maintenance program, work order procedures and an adequate parts inventory.
• Train maintenance/engineering associates and determine appropriate training and development needs.
• Develop and oversee department budget.
• Create and maintain appropriate engineering records, including equipment records and manuals, drawings and diagrams, inspection reports and legal records as required by law.
• Monitor and control energy consumption and execute plans which promote effective energy usage.
• Partner with outside agencies to insure plant compliance with current regulations.
