Job summary
The Wonderful Company is seeking a Shipping and Conveyance Manager in California to optimize material flow from plant to customer. You will lead the shipping, conveyance, and inventory teams, work with production, sales and service groups, and drive process improvements and cost reductions across the function.
Requires 4+ years in shipping/logistics, ERP and Excel proficiency, and a track record of lean/six sigma practices.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of Shipping and Plant Logistics experience
- Experience in Food Safety and Audits
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle/ERP)
- Proficiency in Excel
Responsibilities
- Lead plant shipping, conveyance and inventory teams to ensure efficient material flow and on-time shipments
- Coordinate with plant managers, customer service and sales to place the right material in the right place
- Develop and implement written policies and procedures for daily operations
- Improve systems to drive throughput and reduce costs
- Prepare annual budgets and monitor performance against budget
- Hire, train and manage staff and ensure safety audits and compliance
- Maintain food and plant safety culture and audits
