You will lead safety practices, improve equipment uptime, coordinate maintenance, and mentor teams while delivering capital projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in steel manufacturing, strong project leadership, and expertise in FMEA and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5 years industrial experience in steel industry; capital projects experience preferred.
• Lean, Six Sigma or PMP certification preferred.
• Experience with vendors and government agencies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and promotes safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
• Drives production efficiencies and equipment uptime through upgrades and processing improvements.
• Analyzes production workflows, equipment placement, and space utilization for efficiency.
• Coordinates maintenance and repair to keep equipment safe, efficient and ready.
• Identifies and executes plant capital projects.
• Mentors Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams on best practices.
• Performs FMEA and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Ensures critical spares are identified and stocked for timely repairs.
