Job summary

Roche’s Dixon, CA site and South San Francisco facilities rely on a Sr. Plant Engineer to own mechanical, electrical, and process/utilities infrastructure.

You will drive capital projects from conception through commissioning, lead reliability initiatives, and serve as the technical authority shaping multi-million-dollar investments. You will develop maintenance strategies, optimize BAS/CMMS-based operations, and mentor teams while ensuring safety, reliability, and peak facility performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in mechanical/electrical/process infrastructure design/operation in high-tech, industrial, life sciences, or chemical manufacturing.
• 3+ years in a large multi-functional campus environment.
• Proficient knowledge of BAS and CMMS (e.g., SAP, Siemens) and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical, electrical, and process/utilities infrastructure and maximize uptime and reliability.
• Lead capital projects from design through commissioning and turnover to operations.
• Champion Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and conduct RCA/RCFA analyses.
• Ensure design-to-operational handover with focus on safety, reliability, and maintainability.
