Job summary

BorgWarner Emissions Systems Spain SL seeks an experienced design engineer to coordinate and execute design and development activities for automotive systems, focusing on reliability, manufacturability, and cost reduction.

You will lead DFMEAs, stack-up analyses, and supplier engagements, while collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and product teams to drive robust designs and effective problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering.
• 8+ years experience in automotive product engineering and manufacturing.
• Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly (DfM/DfA) is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead design and development activities for automotive systems.
• Develop proposals for mechanical hardware and lead production-change estimations.
• Lead design directions with drawings, specifications, FEA, and component designs.
• Maintain technical documentation and subsystem requirements definitions.
• Lead DFMEAs and stack-up analyses; manage design changes.
