Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Plant Controller in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, to serve as the senior finance leader for the site and a financial partner to the Plant Leader and Solutions Group Controller. This onsite role drives end-to-end financial governance for the plant and supports supply chain decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years in manufacturing finance, supply chain finance, plant finance, or a related finance leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, inventory management, and financial analysis.
• Experience in a global, matrixed organization influencing stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Proven ability to drive change, implement process improvements and deliver results.
• Strong communication and leadership skills across finance and non-finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance leader and business partner for the Jayuya manufacturing site.
• Lead financial planning activities, including budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, and monthly close.
• Ensure GAAP, SOX compliance and maintain P&L and balance sheet ownership.
• Provide timely reporting of performance, trends, risks and opportunities to plant and finance leadership.
• Partner with operations to improve manufacturing performance, manage variances and working capital.
• Support capital planning and ensure investments are on time and within budget.
• Identify cost savings and continuous improvement opportunities; drive value creation.
• Develop financial acumen across finance and non-finance teams with matrix partners.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
