Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $151,140 - $200,318.8. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Finance? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our plant controlling function. As a Senior Plant Controller, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The Senior Plant Controller will oversee the financial operations for a value stream within the manufacturing organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, planning, analysis, optimal financial performance, and compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide financial leadership, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information for a Value Stream
• Prepare timely month-end and quarterly reports, analyze financial statements, including variance analysis, and present findings to management
• Identify and evaluate business drivers, KPIs, and trends to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements
• Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, providing insights for improvement, driving planning accuracy, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals for multiple complex Value Streams
• Partner with value stream leaders to drive financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize outcomes
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance drivers, providing actionable insights
• Drive operational excellence in manufacturing financial processes, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, and performance reporting
• Improve working capital and free cash flow through inventory reduction plans and capital expenditure management
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations
• Lead process improvement and cost-saving initiatives, optimizing resource allocation to increase profitability
• Develop financial models for business strategies, capital expenditure, and business transition activities
• Identify and mitigate business risks and organizational blind spots
• Lead and mentor finance professionals
• Collaborate with Corporate Strategy and Product Development teams on strategic initiatives and financial modeling

What you’ll Need To Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Commercial Finance, with at least 7+ years in leadership, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Deep understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide operational insights
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Leadership capability to guide finance teams and influence management decisions
• Supervisory and coaching experience
• Critical thinking skills for problem-solving in manufacturing
• High accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting

Preferred:

• MBA degree
• CPA or CFA certification
• Experience with Oracle ERP and Oracle EPM Cloud
• Knowledge of financial and cost accounting, ERP systems in manufacturing environments
