The City of Riverside is accepting applications for the position of Senior Plans Examiner to fill one vacancy in the Building and Safety Division of the Community and Economic Development department. Under general direction, supervise and review plans for subdivisions, multi-unit residential, and commercial/industrial projects for compliance with codes and ordinances.
Duties include field inspections, public counter assistance, staff training, reporting, and coordination with other departments
Formación
- Requires 3 years of professional plan checker experience with building codes compliance.
- Associates degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field OR ICC Plans Examiner certification.
- Requires ability to obtain ICC Plans Examiner certification within 12 months; CASp certification is highly desirable.
Responsabilidades
- Supervise and review plans for subdivisions, multi-unit residential, and commercial/industrial projects for code compliance.
- Perform field inspections and assist staff with complex requirements.
- Coordinate with City departments and outside agencies; provide public counter information and training.
