The City of Riverside is seeking a Senior Plans Examiner (Temporary/Extra-Help) to supervise and review plans for subdivision developments, multi-unit residential, and commercial/industrial buildings for compliance with codes. The role includes assisting at public counters and coordinating with other departments.

Ideal candidates will have an associate's degree or ICC Plans Examiner certification and at least three years of professional plan checking experience, including accessibility

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field, OR ICC certification as a Plans Examiner.
• Three (3) years of professional experience as a plan checker reviewing plans for conformance with building codes for a governmental agency, including at least one year related to disabled access regulations.

Responsabilités

• Examine and review plans for residential tracts, multi-unit residential, and commercial/industrial buildings for compliance with codes and regulations.
• Perform field inspections and assist staff with complex requirements.
• Coordinate with other City departments and outside regulatory agencies.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned plan check and permit issuance staff.

Associate's degree or ICC Plans Examiner certification

Three (3) years professional plan checking experience
