Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or related field with six years of experience, or a Master’s degree with four years of experience, including supervisory experience.
• AICP certification required within two years of employment.
• Knowledge of urban planning principles, GIS, and contract administration is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning staff and act as project manager on long-range plans and current planning activities.
• Negotiate professional service contracts and supervise development of plans and documents.
• Coordinate reviews of zoning cases, development applications, and comprehensive plans with multiple departments and external groups.
