Job summary

Pacific Rubber is seeking a Senior Planning Manager in San Carlos, CA to own the demand-to-execution cycle and build a centralized planning function. You will lead Production, Demand, and Supply Planning teams, align with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance, and drive end-to-end planning processes across US operations including Oregon and Malaysia.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Planning, Operations, or Supply Chain within manufacturing or hybrid distribution.
• Experience building or leading a planning function across multiple departments.
• Strong understanding of demand planning, MRP, and supply coordination.
• Proficiency in ERP systems including production orders, BOMs, routings, lead times, and capacity planning modules.
• Experience leading or developing a planning team with direct reports.
• Strong cross-functional communication and ability to influence allocation decisions under constraint.

Responsibilities

• Own production planning, scheduling, and work order release across all manufacturing operations.
• Establish daily and weekly planning rhythms to drive execution priorities.
• Ensure smooth order handoffs from Customer Service to Planning.
• Make prioritization and allocation decisions when demand exceeds capacity.
• Monitor schedule performance and address production risks proactively.
• Validate and manage production capacity based on labor, equipment, and throughput.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and capacity imbalances.
• Coordinate material requirements with Supply Chain and mitigate supply risks.
• Develop dashboards and KPI reporting to support data-driven decisions.
• Lead and develop a Planning team spanning Production, Demand, and Supply Planning.
