Qualifications

• BS/BA in Public Administration, Planning, Urban Design or related field and experience in planning.
• Six years in land use planning with supervisory experience; Master's may substitute two years.
• AICP certification within one year of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise planning staff, train, assign work, and evaluate performance.
• Coordinate development review, long-range planning, zoning and code administration.
• Lead major planning projects and serve as liaison to Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners.
• Improve development application processing and county data dissemination.
