Job summary

Pacific Engineering Projects Ltd. is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to drive project scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting across our operations in infrastructure and EPC projects.

The role requires Primavera P6 expertise, 5–8 years in planning, and a strong background in EVA, S-curve, look-ahead schedules, and cost reporting. You will coordinate with project teams and clients to keep projects on track and within baselines.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in project planning and scheduling roles within construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory) and/or MS Project; working knowledge of scheduling best practices, WBS, CPM, and critical path analysis.
• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Mechanical (or related) ; PMP or PMI-SP certification is an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with Earned Value Management (EVM/EVA), S-curve preparation, look-ahead scheduling, and man-hour/cost reporting.
• Sound understanding of delay analysis methodologies (TIA, Windows Analysis, Impacted As-Planned) and EOT support.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Monitor and measure actual progress against planned schedules; identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, look-ahead schedules, and EVA for management and client reporting.
• Liaise with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to gather schedule inputs and resolve conflicts.
• Identify scheduling risks, assess impact of changes, and support change management with schedule updates.
• Develop resource-loaded schedules; coordinate manpower and plant requirements with site teams.
• Establish and maintain approved baselines; perform schedule health checks and implement best practices.
• Conduct delay analysis and provide schedule support for contract claims and EOT.
