Job summary

The position requires 3–6 years in Purchasing/Planning, plus proficiency in SAP/ERP and MS Office. APICS certification is beneficial; travel up to 10% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or General Engineering.
• 3–6 years purchasing and planning experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
• SAP or similar ERP system experience.
• APICS certification would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of a variety of commodities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Travel may be required (up to 10%).

Responsibilities

• Source sources of supply, document quotes, and process purchase requisitions.
• Expedite back orders and coordinate deliveries, communicating delivery dates and shortages.
• Plan production and release orders in accordance with schedules.
• Ensure purchasing and planning docs follow SOPs.
• Update SAP data and reconcile PO discrepancies with vendor/accounting.
• Maintain reorder points, quantities, and lead times.
• Negotiate with vendors on rejections and non-conforming materials.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and seek cost/quality improvements.
• Share updates with Materials department and support plant safety initiatives.
