Delta Air Lines, Inc. seeks a scheduling professional to manage pilot training across ground, flight, and OE programs, including QT, CQ, and RQ simulators. You will coordinate daily and monthly schedules for students, instructors, and evaluators, while ensuring compliance with training devices and FAA standards.
You will partner with Sim Engineering and FAA APMs, learn Delta's DBMS, SAP, OSS, and Smartsheet, and help drive safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsible for planning and scheduling of pilot training (ground, flight, and OE) for FAA approved training programs. Programs include: qualification (QT), continuing qualification (CQ), and Re-Qualification (RQ) simulator training, as well as line checks, mid-phases, initial operating experiences (IOEs), and special airport/theater qualifications (SAQs), currency, consolidation and new LCP/LVP candidate training.
Daily and monthly scheduling of students, instructors, LCPs, and LVPs
Simulator scheduling for various programs as well as coordinating with Sim Engineering and FAA APMs (Aircrew Program Managers) ensuring compliance of devices and pilot training qualifications
Interaction with Flight Training/Standards on instructor and student changes, conflicts, and errors
Identifies required types of training for pilots returning from leave status or awarded through an Advance Entitlements (AE)
Maintains working familiarity with the PWA (Pilot Working Agreement), Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Flight Operations Policies and Procedures (FOPP), and other manuals as needed
Reviews AE/OE and training data to support key decision making in all areas within the division.
Identifies and creating new or improved processes to support the changes in the operation.
Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
Experience with personal computer applications required
Organizational, problem-solving, oral, and written communications skills required
Should exhibit initiative, innovation, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision
Should be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel up to and including Training/OE Planning, Flight Operations, and FAA leadership
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines
Ability to quickly learn potentially unfamiliar programs including Delta's database management system (DBMS), SAP, and OSS.
Should be performing satisfactorily in current position
Experience with DBMS and DLTerm (OSS and RES)
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of the Pilot Working Agreement
Experience with MS Office suite of software products and Smartsheet
