Job summary

The Town of Knightdale is seeking a planning professional to lead current planning activities and guide growth. The Senior Planner will work with developers, Town boards, and community members to navigate the development process, provide professional planning guidance, and prepare recommendations for Town Council meetings.

The role involves presenting land use matters, implementing planning policies, and coordinating with the Development Services Director and Code Enforcement to ensure project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in city planning; master preferred.
• Experience in municipal planning and development.
• AICP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead current planning activities and coordinate with developers and boards.
• Prepare staff reports and present to Town Council.
• Review site plans, subdivisions, rezonings, and zoning amendments.
