Job summary

The University of Hawai‘i Foundation is seeking an Associate Director of Development, Estate & Gift Planning in Honolulu, HI. This professional will build a portfolio of 75-80 planned gift prospects, qualify donors, and coordinate with UH system colleagues to embed planned giving into broader donor strategies.

Responsibilities include soliciting gifts, presenting gift illustrations, and ensuring timely, accurate contact reports and follow-through with the AVP and OEGP team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two or more years of progressive experience in non-profit or related settings; planned giving a plus.
• Demonstrated success qualifying prospects, developing gift strategies and closing gifts.
• Strong written communication, clear reports and donor correspondence.
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation; background check upon offer.

Responsibilities

• Prospect qualification, cultivation and solicitation of planned gifts.
• Manage a portfolio of 75-80 prospects and coordinate with colleagues system-wide.
• Conduct donor meetings, present gift illustrations and options.
• Prepare timely contact reports and follow-through through administration.
