Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own PKI and secure API services for vehicle product ecosystems. You will design, build, deploy and operate PKI APIs for certificate issuance, lifecycle management, revocation and HSM integration across enterprise and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has crypto expertise (RSA, ECC, X.509, PKCS#11, AES), strong security standards knowledge, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• 5 years in software engineering with secure coding practices.
• Experience with PKI, cryptographic interfaces and standards.
• Knowledge of NIST, OWASP, ISO/IEEE security standards.
• Knowledge of software architecture, testing and IDAM principles.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own PKI and Key Management API services lifecycle.
• Design and secure RESTful PKI APIs for varied use cases.
• Implement cryptographic algorithms and HSM integration.
• Ensure high availability, DR and multi-region replication.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with ECU teams.
