Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in PKI and secure API services to own the end-to-end lifecycle of cryptographic systems for vehicle products. You will design, build, deploy, and maintain high-assurance PKI APIs powering certificate issuance, revocation, and lifecycle management across enterprise and cloud-native environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of software engineering experience and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead PKI and Key Management API services end-to-end for vehicle ecosystem.
• Design, build, deploy, and maintain RESTful PKI APIs with secure access controls.
• Implement PKI standards (X.509, PKCS, ECC, RSA) and HSM integration.
• Ensure high availability with zero-downtime issuance and multi-region replication.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines and on-prem/cloud Kubernetes deployments.
• Monitor security using SAST/DAST and Splunk; mentor engineers.
