Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior PKI/Security Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and operate PKI, certificate management, and HSM solutions across development, manufacturing, and production environments.

You will manage the full lifecycle of cryptographic key material, coordinate with security, software, firmware, silicon, and infrastructure teams, and help ensure secure, scalable cryptographic operations for TeraWave systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in PKI, cryptographic infrastructure, or security infra.
• Experience designing or administering enterprise PKI and certificate management.
• Strong knowledge of X.509, CAs, trust chains, crypto algorithms, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with HSMs or cryptographic hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and maintain PKI and certificate-management infrastructure.
• Automate issuance, renewal, revocation, rotation, and replacement of certificates.
• Configure and integrate HSMs, token management, and crypto services for apps and services.
• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise-class HSM appliances per vendor practices and standards.
• Monitor HSM health, performance, and availability; troubleshoot issues across layers.
• Maintain documentation, audit trails, and change logs for crypto operations.
• Manage lifecycle of cryptographic key material, including secure storage and destruction.
• Plan and participate in secure key ceremonies and develop tooling for PKI and KMS operations.
• Collaborate with software, firmware, silicon, and manufacturing teams to integrate crypto capabilities.
