Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to design, deploy, and operate secure signing infrastructure for the TeraWave ecosystem. You’ll sign and encrypt firmware binaries and support CI/CD workflows across multiple sites.

You will work with security, silicon, firmware, software, manufacturing, and infrastructure teams to securely manage cryptographic keys and signing operations while building reliable, scalable services for engineers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and operating high‑reliability network-based or backend services.
• Strong software development and debugging skills.
• Experience implementing authenticaiton services and credentials management.
• Experience monitoring, health checks, logging, and alerting for production services.
• Experience integrating software with automated build/release/CI/CD environments.
• Ability to work with security, firmware, silicon, and embedded teams.
• Willingness to develop expertise in security infrastructure, cryptography, HSMs, signing systems.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible for U.S. employment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain highly available signing services for firmware binaries.
• Develop secure signing workflows for local and CI/CD environments.
• Implement authentication/authorization for signing operations and keys.
• Configure and manage Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
• Develop interfaces to HSMs and cryptographic infrastructure.
• Create monitoring, logging, and operational tooling for signing infrastructure.
• Scale signing services for dozens to hundreds of engineers across locations.
• Maintain separation between development and production signing environments.
• Troubleshoot signing-related build and deployment issues across teams.
• Integrate signing infrastructure with firmware build/release/deploy systems.
• Collaborate with security teams on cryptography and key-management requirements.
