Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC is seeking a Sr. Manager of Projects to oversee major piping and welding initiatives, providing strategic leadership for complex mechanical projects and ensuring code compliance across the lifecycle.

This is a remote role that can be performed from anywhere in the United States. You will lead design coordination, procurement, fabrication, hydrostatic testing, and turnover while collaborating with engineering, QA, and construction teams to ensure successful

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of project management experience in industrial, power generation, or nuclear construction environments.
• Experience managing large piping fabrication and installation projects with carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys, and specialty piping systems.
• Experience coordinating mechanical construction activities with ASME, AWS, API, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams with safety, quality, productivity, and performance focus.
• Knowledge of welding processes (GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW) and NDE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and oversight of major mechanical construction projects, focusing on piping system installation and welding.
• Manage all phases of piping construction: design coordination, procurement, fabrication, field installation, hydrostatic testing, turnover.
• Ensure welding activities comply with ASME B31.1, B31.3, Section IX, AWS, and project quality requirements.
• Review and approve welding procedures and qualification records for compliance.
• Resolve field issues to minimize schedule and budget impacts.
• Interface with engineering, QA, and construction teams to ensure constructability and successful execution.
