Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Sr. Manager of Projects to oversee piping and welding-focused mechanical projects with strategic leadership and technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

The role is remote and can be performed from anywhere in the United States, reporting to the Director of MMC Operations. You will lead major piping construction activities, ensure code compliance, review welding procedures, and coordinate with engineering, quality assurance, and construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of project management experience in industrial, power generation, or nuclear construction environments.
• Experience leading large piping fabrication and installation projects with carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys, and specialty piping.
• Experience coordinating mechanical construction activities per ASME, AWS, API, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams with emphasis on safety, quality, productivity, and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and oversight of major mechanical construction projects focusing on piping system installation, fabrication, and welding.
• Manage all phases of piping construction from design to turnover, including procurement and testing.
• Ensure welding activities comply with codes and standards (ASME B31.1, B31.3, Section IX, AWS).
• Review and approve welding procedures, PQRs, and welder qualifications for compliance.
• Resolve complex field issues while minimizing schedule and budget impacts.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and construction to ensure constructability and successful execution.
